About Me

Hi! My name is Dianna Jazwinski and I am a professional garden and plant photographer,  I am based in West Sussex in the UK.

I originally studied photography at City and Guilds for 3 years in the evening alongside working as a physiotherapist.

I have since worked extensively in the editorial field, with top horticultural magazines such as Gardens Illustrated, The English Garden and Country Living with worldwide sales via representation by stock agency Gap Photos. I am a member of the Progessional Garden Photographers Association and the Garden Media Guild.

Out of the blue, about 5 years ago, I wanted to create something more personal. Drawn to still life, I was inspired by vintage botanical prints, for their dark backgrounds and attention to detail, and the work of Pierre Joseph Redouté for simplicity of form.

After much experimentation I bring to you beautiful botanicals focusing on the smallest details, textures and colour, inviting you to look closer at a flower you might normally pass by.

I source almost all of the flowers in my work locally from flower farms mainly in West Sussex. There is something really special about how flowers grow together seasonally and how they interact together in my work. It is so naturally balanced.

My style also aims to convey optimism - Light in the Darkness. Whatever is happening out there, there will always be flowers... and they still grow and do what they do.. the essence of resilience. We do not always have access to a garden or flowers but we can bring the garden in. I hope this work will rest your eyes, bring colour, and help you to reflect on all that remains good and constant.

High quality imagery is my mission. All prints and cards undergo testing to ensure the highest quality of image sharpness, detail and colour before getting anywhere near this shop.

My art work is currently represented by Will's Art Warehouse and Thyme Contemporary.
